Alarms - conductivity

Conductivity alarms can occur in the following:
  • An empty concentrate jug
  • Change in electrolyte concentrations of dialysate
  • Abnormal water inlet pressure
  • Water leaks or puddles beneath the mixing chamber
  • Concentration line connector unplugged
The conductivity settings should never be adjusted while the patient is on the dialysis machine
