Factors other than chronic kidney disease known to increase urine albumin excretion:
  • Urinary tract infection
  • High dietary protein intake
  • Congestive cardiac failure
  • Acute febrile illness
  • Heavy exercise within 24 hours
  • Menstruation or vaginal discharge
  • Drugs (especially NSAID)
