NON SPECIFIC EFFECTOR MOLECULES

There are a number of nonspecific molecules that affect the immune response, especially antibody production. These major factors are as follows: phagocytic cells such as neutrophils and macrophages, which remove antigen and bacteria, and complement, which can either destroy the organism or fascilitate its destruction.
