SOLID-PHASE ASSAYS

Solid phase assays, by comparison, are more sensitive for lower titer antibodies and permit more precise determination of the specific HLA antigens and alleles to which they bind. Furthermore, complimenting   traditional cell-based methods with solid-phase assays offers the potential to better discriminate immunologically relevant positive crossmatch  assays from false-positive results
