What are the symptoms of cervical cancer?
Early on, there are no symptoms. It is usually found by a pap smears and pelvic exam. Young women should start having pap smears and pelvic exams after the age of 21
Later, symptoms may include the following:
- Abnormal vaginal bleeding
- A bloodstained discharge at unexpected times, such as between menstrual periods or after sex
- An abnormal vaginal discharge: cloudy or bloody, or mucus with bad odor
